Instead of a GP coming to you, see one online today

We’ve all been there

One of the ways to see a provider (such as a GP, doctor, psychologist, speech pathologist etc) is to book over the phone and wait for the doctor to come to you. Although the benefit of this is that you are ordering a doctor to your door and you don’t need to travel to the doctor, the main issues with this include:

  1. The travel doctor may take hours to arrive to you;
  2. There are some areas where the GP can’t travel to you;
  3. These doctor to your door services are only available after hours, meaning you’ll need to wait until the end of the day until you can get the GP to you.

How Telehealth Benefits You

  • Save Travel Time

No need to waste time travelling to the Doctor for something that can be simply diagnosed and treated online

  • Avoid getting sick

Clinics, medical centres and hospitals are typically where known pathogens and germs can spread. By having an online consultation, you are avoiding the possibility of this transmission.

  • Privacy

By having a consultation from the privacy of your home or your preferred location, you can feel more comfortable discussing sensitive topics.

  • Rest Longer

Doctors often advise use to rest in bed, and that’s where you can now see the doctor from. By not needing to travel and spend hours on the go, you’re likely to recover a lot quicker.

  • Available 24/7

Being a technology platform, we aim to have day-round coverage of providers available to consult with you at a suitable time, as soon as possible.

  • For the whole family

Old or young, anyone can use our platform to access healthcare – anytime, anywhere. Parents are able to book a consultation on behalf of their children or elderly.

Frequently Asked Questions

When are the providers available?

We no longer need to wait to get treated, while having sleepless nights until the doctors open the next day. Our providers are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week + after-hours every day (including Saturday and Sunday) – 365 days a year.

How does doctoroo work?

Doctoroo is a telemedicine platform that is provided to deliver healthcare to Australians anytime, anywhere. We have a range of healthcare providers on our platform, who are qualified, experienced, insured and speak a range of languages.

You can sign up for free, choose a provider, select a suitable time, pay and confirm your booking. You’ll then receive a reminder 5 minutes before your consultation, after which the doctor will then call you via the platform.

How can a provider diagnose and treat me online?

When we set out to make your healthcare easier, we knew that we could never replace a traditional, in-person consultation with providers, and we haven’t tried to. What we have done instead, is offer a complimentary service where you can use our platform for issues that don’t require physical examination.

How much does it cost?

Although no one can put a price on a person’s health, it’s completely free to signup on our platform. You’ll only need to pay when you book a doctor. As one of Australia’s most affordable way to see a doctor online, consultations start from just $40, with the average consultation being around 5-6 minutes. For full pricing details, please visit our pricing page.

How are the online consultations conducted?

After making a booking and your provider confirming your consultation time, you’ll receive a notification 5 minutes prior to your consultation in order to prepare and be ready in a private sitting. Your provider will then call you via the doctoroo platform (website or app), and you’ll be able to see your provider face-to-face and exchange messages during the consultation. Your provider will ask you questions to confirm your identity and to diagnose your symptoms. You’ll then be provided with appropriate advice and treatment to help with your condition.

What can I see the doctor for?

Our online consultation service allows you to see the doctor for a ran ge of conditions. Some of these include:
  • Joint Pain
  • Mental Health
  • Skin issues & Rashes
  • Travel Illness
  • Smoking Cessation
  • Sexual health
  • Ear problems
  • Eye problems
  • Stomach & digestive problems
  • Allergies
  • Colds, flu & RTI’s
  • Pregnancy conditions
  • Headaches and migraines
  • Bites and stings
  • Hair loss

Of course, being an online consultation, there are limitations and we highly recommend that you always visit the next available GP in person or call 000 for emergencies for any of these conditions:

  • Emergencies
  • Toxic/Poisonous Reactions
  • Serious Pain
  • Heavy Chest Pain or Tightness
  • Uncontrollable Bleeding
  • Severe Burns
  • High Fever
  • Others
